This is so fun! Downtown Troy will once again be transformed as the second season of HBO's The Gilded Age will be returning to film season 2!!! And yep, that means they're looking for folks like you and me to be background actors. My sister-in-law did it for the first season, and she said it was a blast, but also hot, and a lot of hurry up and wait. But she still loved it. So if you love TV, movies, Hollywood or just want a new experience, this could be it for you. Grant Wilfley Casting wants people to play 1880's upper, middle, and working class background actors. They also need some people who can play tennis. Filming will take place between August 1st and August 26th! According to our friends at News10 ABC, to apply to be a background actor, you can send an email to gildedage@gwcnyc.com with the subject line “TGA Troy Local.” You should include in the email:
- Name
- Phone number
- If you’re a SAG-AFTRA member in good standing or not
- Height, weight, and shoe size
- Current photos
Minors must be submitted by a parent or guardian and should include age and date of birth

I'm so glad that they'll be back to film. Once again downtown Troy will look like Manhattan in the 1880's. I love to go watch them film. So much fun!!! Are you glad the production is returning? Will you apply to be a background actor??
