May 28: Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery's Memorial Day Ceremony. 11 a.m. Saturday, 200 Duell Road Schuylerville. Cemetery Director Scott Lamb will host events that will include color and guards, a keynote address, a flyover by the 109th Airwing, ringing of the USS Saratoga bell, music, a canon salute and benediction. Admission is free.
May 30: American Legion Mohawk Post 1450, 11 a.m. Monday in the legion’s covered pavilion, 275 Grooms Road, Halfmoon. Refreshments served following the ceremony.
May 28: Ballston Spa Memorial Day Parade. 9 a.m. Saturday, steps off from Milton Avenue, proceeds through town to Veterans Park. Naval ceremony at bridge at JJ's Snack Bar.
May 30: Albany Memorial Day Parade. Steps off at 8 a.m. Monday at 900 Central Ave.
May 30: Village of Hoosick Falls Memorial Day Parade. Hosted by the Hoosick Post 40 American Legion and stepping off at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30 at Wood Park. Services at village monuments will begin at 8 a.m. from the park.
May 30: Castleton-Schodack Memorial Day Parade. 10 a.m. Monday May 30 will step off at the corner of Boltwood and Seaman avenues and will conclude with a ceremony at Mountain View Cemetery. Five divisions with the VFW Post 7337 will lead, veterans and Gold Star Mothers will be honored. Korean conflict veteran James Gibbons will be grand marshal.
