Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma is about baby names. Check it out: Good morning I’m emailing you this morning because my wife and I are in a small debate right now, and I need some help. My daughter is pregnant with her first child, which is great! Her husband is a good guy, but his mother recently passed away, so he's pushing for the baby to be named after his mom. The only thing is, is that his mother's name was Gertrude. My daughter and I really do not like the name Gertrude However, my wife says that our first grandchild should be named Gertrude. She said she would want the baby named after her is she had passed. How do we honor our son in law's mother but get out of Gertrude. This is causing a rift in our family. Would you name the baby Gertrude? Or would you give it a hard no. Maybe you and your listeners can help us out. Thanks so much ~ Arthur. I think I'm the wrong one to ask because I like the name Gertrude. I used to work with a good friend whose name was Gertrude....we did call her Trudy however, but her name was Gertrude. I say honor the mother in law. But that's just my take. Let's help out Arthur and his family and let me know what you think on the TRY Facebook page.
