Meet Canteloupe, our Pet of the Week from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society! Canteloupe is a two and a half year old female domestic shorthair. Cantaloupe is a sweet, shy lady that is just looking for some stability in her life. She has been in and out of the shelter over the last year, and that’s a drag of a way to begin your life. She can almost always be found in her hidey-bed, but with some wet food, patience, and a tender touch, she warms right up. She is a gorgeous calico that has a purr machine stuck in the on position. Cantaloupe would most likely enjoy living in a home that allows her to explore and investigate on her own time. Also today and tomorrow at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, dog adoptions for dogs one year and older are only $135 in honor of 135 years of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. So if you've been thinking of adopting a dog, now is the time. Find out more here.
AND, MHHS is revitalizing its pet cemetery! Our team has begun the process of restoring headstones and beautifying our greenspace. We are also building a new pathway in the cemetery, with pavers that will be personalized with names of pets we have loved and lost. And don't forget about the Mohawk Hudson's Society Pet Pantry. If you're having trouble feeding your pet, let the MHHS help you...it's all free of charge. Find out more here.
