Today's Pick Me Up is such a beautiful story. Rudy F. got really nervous when he let his 13 year old Golden Retriever, Lilah, out for her walk and she didn't come home. He searched for her and searched for her all day Saturday and then started out again on Sunday morning to keep looking. He was fearful of the worst, but as he was walking near in the woods near his home, he heard his dog Lilah yip. He was worried that Lilah was injured, maybe hit by a car, but thank God no, that wasn't it. Lilah was stuck inside a drainage pipe. Rudy found her but he couldn't get her out. She was too scared to move. So Rudy took a shot and called 911. Within minutes, the State Police were there to help. And within minutes, one of them entered the drainage pipe to help get Lilah out. Lilah was thrilled to see her human dad. Thankfully she wasn't hurt, just needed a cleanup and some food and water. And Rudy was so so so grateful to the two State Troopers who took the time to help and show love to his dog. Troopers Jimmy Rasaphone and Ana Reynas are heroes in Rudy's book and in mine too.
