Today's Pick Me Up is just beautiful. It's about two sons saving their dad's life! Brad and his two 10 year old sons Bradin and Christian were swimming in the pool together with the boy's friend Sam. Brad (the dad) went under water, which he loves to do, to say some prayers. While under the water, unbeknownst to him, he had a heart attack. His two boys saw their dad convulsing under water and then go limp. Well, they immediately dove in and pulled him up on the steps of the pool. Christian ran to call 911 while Bradin started performing CPR on his dad. He said he gave him CPR and then gave him mouth to mouth. His dad revived and started throwing up blood and foam. None of them knew what was going on. Just as Brad was alert enough, he realized that paramedics had come and everyone was staring at him. Long story short, Brad went to the Cardiac Care Intensive Care Unit of the local hospital for 24 hours. Brad had had a heart attack. Thankfully now, he'll be okay as long as he follows doctors order. Brad said "There's no way physically that they should have been able to do what they did. They hadn't had training to do what they did, to act as fast, to run as fast, as far, to know to flag down somebody to call 911 while the other is doing CPR on you. I mean, it's a God thing. God's hand was all over it." Meanwhile the boys were just so glad that their dad was going to be okay. They were overjoyed when he came home. Oh and for the record, Bridon and Christian learned how to do CPR and call 911 by watching movies! Love it!
