Social Dilemma: Should I Tell Someone That My Neighbor Is Growing Pot?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Valerie and it's about neighbors and what they're doing in their own home. Hi Jaime. Here's a dilemma I haven't ever heard. We’ve been neighbors with a couple for almost ten years. They’re a few years younger than us and don’t have any kids. In the last year, the husband has started hanging out in their garage all the time. It’s right next to our sitting porch and we see him coming and going a lot. The last few months there’s been a strong smell of marijuana coming from the garage. It's pretty obvious he's growing pot and smoking it in there.  It doesn’t really bother us, but my husband thinks we need to say something either to the neighbors or to the police. He’s afraid we could get in trouble since we couldn’t believably claim to know nothing about it. What do you think? Should we just ignore it? Or say something to the neighbor or the authorities? Well, I don't know the legality of growing your own marijuana, but since it seems like they're not hurting anyone or asking anyone else to get involved, I don't think I would say anything to anyone. If I was close friends with them I might ask, but otherwise, I'm a believer that as long as no one is being hurt, it's not my business. I wouldn't say anything is someone was making moonshine in their garage. But that's just my take. What would you do? Let's help Valerie out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
