So I had a strange situation happen to me over the weekend when I went away to Cape Cod. We have a house/dog sitter, that we'll call Ann for the sake of the story. It's not her real name. Anyway, we've used Ann before when we've went away and she's always been great. She's a young woman, in her early 20's, but always very responsible. While we were away, we got texts from her daily letting us know how our three pets were doing, Leo, our dog, and Jackson and Sammy, our cats. We let her know what time on Monday we'd be back and that she could leave by noon. All good, and always how it's gone before. Well, this time, when we got home, we thought something was horribly wrong. We walked into the house and the TV was on, several lights were on, the animals dishes had no water in them, and probably one of the strangest things, a pair of her pants were left lying on the living room floor. Pants she had clearly just taken off. Obviously we were upset about the water situation, but our first reaction was, "oh my God, did something happen to her?" I tentatively walked around the house, half expecting to find her somewhere, but nothing. She left our home in disarray with the pets not taken care of properly. This was not like her so we were concerned about her. I'll cut to the chase. I've been texting her since the minute we came home and have not heard one word from her. Nothing. She has not returned any texts at all. Finally we spoke to the person who originally referred her to us, and she said that Ann had been acting strangely with her too, but does respond to texts, so at least we know she's alive. What do you think is going on? What would you do? Should we just leave it alone? Please give me some advice! Thank you. Oh let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
