Today's Pick Me Up is just fantastic. Talk about teaching kids to help those who need it. About a dozen kids in a neighborhood in Peoria, Illinois put together a lemonade stand that sold the beverage and other treats all weekend. All of the money raised went to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The kids learned from their parents and neighbors about the children at St. Judes and how they need extra help. So when putting together the stand they knew that every penny they made would help those kids. The mom of three of the kids involved said "It was their idea. It really connected the dots for them to realize what they were doing and how that money could really help save children." And indeed it will. The stand raised $3,315 dollars for the hospital! What a great story!!! Happy Friday!
