It's The End of An Era As Bob Kovachick Is Retiring From Channel 13

I couldn't believe this when I heard it Friday afternoon. Meteorologist Bob Kovachick has decided to retire from Channel 13. He made the announcement on the Friday afternoon newscast. His voice cracked as he made his announcement, as you can see below. But he said it's time for him to go and enjoy his life. Bob has been with the station for about 40 years. I can remember when he first came around back in the day. Boy, did I have a crush on him. He was smart, funny, handsome and seemed incredibly nice. In all the times I've talked with Bob he has lived up to all of that. He is truly a good man. Now, WNYT did say that Bob will still be a part of the weather team as a contributor on special projects. But as our daily meteorologist, his days are numbered. His final day on the air will be October 3rd. I'll miss Bob. Will you? Let me know how you feel about this on the TRY Facebook page
