Today's Pick Me Up is all about what can happen when everyone works together. Francesca Teal was on vacation at North Beach in Hampton, New Hampshire. She and her husband were tossing the football around while they were in the ocean when her diamond wedding ring that once belonged to her great grandmother slipped off her finger. Francesca and her husband spent hours searching for the ring, but never found it. When she got home, she posted about it on Facebook, and asked if anyone who might regularly go to the beach with a metal detector would be on the lookout for the special ring. The post was shared 3000 times. Some people messaged that they had looked but found nothing. Then came a message from Lou Asci. He said he had been searching the ocean for three days, and finally found a ring. He sent Francesca a picture with the message, "Please tell me this is the ring, so I can finally get off this beach." It was THE ring. Lou brought the ring home to Francesca. He said failure is not an option for him so he took finding the ring as a real challenge. The heirloom is home and now will only be worn on special occasions. Strangers helping each other out is a beautiful thing!
