Thankfully, You Will No Longer Be Carded To Buy Canned Whipped Cream!

Okay, remember earlier this week when we were talking about how we are now getting carded to buy a can of whipped cream? It happened to me, and some of you said it happened to you as well. Well, we won't have to worry about that anymore very soon. The new law that went into effect was not meant to target whipped cream itself. So while many of us have already been ID'd when we bought our whipped cream, that never should have happened. The Senator who sponsored the Bill, Joseph Addabbo, said the law is for the nitrous oxide chargers that are found inside the can of whipped cream. Apparently you can buy those chargers individually (restaurants use them, and some people use them at home to make their own whipped cream). That's what we're supposed to be carded for, not the whipped cream itself. So with the clarification, convenience stores have already told their employees not to check for ID anymore when people are buying cans of whipped cream. That news has also gone out to grocery stores around the area, so giving time for it to get to everyone, probably by Monday we won't have to worry about having our license with us when we buy our can of delicious whipped cream.
