I just love today's Pick Me Up of the day! Last week, Marilyn OIettinger set out to go grocery shopping at a market across the border in Massachusetts. Marilyn is 89 years old and rarely goes to the market alone, but her husband passed away a few months ago, so she wanted to try the outing alone. Everything was fine until Marilyn went to check out. Everything went through the scanner and Marilyn was ready to pay the $109 bill. When Marilyn handed the cashier her credit card, she found out it had been cancelled two days prior because the account was in her late husband's name. Marilyn was starting to panic, when a man, who according to Marilyn looked to be in his 30's, stepped up and said "Don't worry, I'll take care of your groceries." Marilyn asked for his name and address so she could send him the money, but the man said, No I don't need the money, just say a prayer for me. So of course the prayers are being said, and along with that Marilyn's family is paying it forward with kindnesses like that everytime they go to the supermarket. Even if it's something small, they want to pay it forward. They're also still trying to find the good samaritan just to let him know how incredibly grateful they are. They call him their own personal angel.
