Today's Pick Me Up is a beautiful story! It's when things get tough that we really all need to pull together! As Hurricane Ian was slamming into Florida, Christine Bomlitz who lives in Las Vegas, could not get ahold of her 84 year old mom, Shirley. Shirley had lost her cell phone before the Hurricane hit, and then her landline went out when it did hit. So Christine had no way of knowing if her mom was safe. She took to social media begging people who lived in that area to please check on her mom. One 26 year old woman, Cheyanne Prevatt, heard the call and made her way through chest deep flood waters to check on Shirley. Thankfully she found the woman safe and dry. Cheyanne sent a picture of Shirley to her daughter to prove that she was just fine, and then plans were made to evacuate both of them to dry land. Neighbors helping one another from all the way across the country. I love this story!
