This is such a beautiful Pick Me Up this morning. It reminds us that no matter how little you have, you can always help someone else in need. Officer Seara Burton was killed in the line of duty. On the day of her funeral, someone walked into the police station and handed an officer a dirty white envelope. Inside were eight one dollar bills. Who did they come from? The homeless population in the area. On the envelope, it just said "people from the street." The person who handed the officer the envelope explained that several of the homeless people in the area wanted to help the family of Officer Burton so they took up a collection. There's not much that is as beautiful as this. So that act of kindness spurred the community to help the homeless people. One member of the community Amber went online asking for donations and so far she has received many blankets, coats, water, food, tents and more. Enough to fill an entire room. Kindness begets kindness. I love this story so much. I will definitely keep this in mind and do my best to share kindness.
