There are so many great movies streaming this weekend, you could literally sit in front of your TV all day if you wanted to, and be entertained with some great stuff. There are new Christmas movies, a couple of sequels, a very funny movie and great family movies. Check out the list!
-Yesterday on HBO Max, the long awaited sequel to A Christmas Story came out. It's called A Christmas Story Christmas and yes the original cast is there, most importantly Peter Billingsley as Ralphie.
• Today on Apple TV+: "Spirited". A modernized musical version of the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol", told from the perspective of the ghosts. Will Ferrell plays the Ghost of Christmas Present, who's chosen to make it his mission to transform Ryan Reynolds into a force for good.
•Today on Disney Plus: "Disenchanted", starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, and Maya Rudolph. After more than a decade since her wedding, Giselle has grown disillusioned with our world so she accidentally unleashes a spell that transforms her entire town into a fairy tale.
• Friday on Netflix: "Slumberland", a fantasy adventure about an orphaned girl who joins Jason Momoa in the land of dreams for a chance to see her father. Kyle Chandler and Chris O'Dowd are also in it.
• Friday on Amazon: "The People We Hate at the Wedding", a raunchy comedy starring Kristen Bell and Ben Platt as siblings who are invited to the British wedding of their estranged half-sister. She's played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson from "The Rings of Power".Allison Janney is also in it as their mom.
I want to watch all of them, but I think I'll start with A Christmas Story Christmas and Disenchanted. What about you? Will you be watching any of these films this weekend?
