Meet Polka, a 3 and a half year old female mixed breed at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society! What's your favorite dance? If you answered "Polka", then you are in the right spot! Hi there, I'm Polka. I may not be ready to dance the night away with you right away, but with some treats and lots of love, we'll be dance partners in no time! I am an active gal with plenty of smarts to go with it, so I would LOVE to do some training with you! I'm already a whiz at sitting, and I'm currently learning a few other commands, and my friends at the shelter say that I'm catching on really quickly! I do really like my stuff and I haven't mastered the art of sharing quite yet, so I think I would do best in a home with older kids, if any. Do I sound like your perfect match? Then shimmy on down to the shelter to prance with Polka!
Polka is part of our Hidden Gems program. This means she has been available for over 100 days! While that sounds like a lot, it’s also given us time to work one-on-one with her to help with behavior modifications and really get to know her.
