Over the weekend, we found out that Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band rescheduled their performance for the MVP Arena. The show, which was supposed to be held on Tuesday of last week, was postponed due to illness. Well, now we know that Bruce and the gang will be here on Tuesday, September 19th! Tickets for the original show will be good for this rescheduled date. If, for some reason, you have tickets and can't go on September 19th, you, of course, can get a refund.
And with the NCAA tournament being played at the MVP Arena all weekend, there were lots of people in town to watch the games. One of those people was Actor, Comedian, Oscar Nominee Bill Murray. Bill is a huge sports fan, and was thrilled to be here to watch the games with a friend. Pretty much everyone who met him said he was kind, fun, quirky and nice. One of my coworkers who had the chance to talk with him said he was great. Nice to know that, and I hope Bill had a good time in the Capital Region!
Oh, and just in time for the first day of Spring (today!), more of our favorite ice cream places opened up over the weekend! Guptill's Coney Island Express in Latham, Kurver Kreme in Albany, and Curry Freeze in Rotterdam, all opened, as did the Farmer's Daughter in Saratoga Springs. Today will be a good day to get some ice cream! It's gonna be sunny and 50! Happy Spring!!
