I was so excited yesterday when NASA announced the names of the four astronauts that will be heading to the moon in November! First up, we have Gregory Reid Wiseman, who, by the way, graduated from RPI back in '97 proving the Capital Region brings out the best in people!! Then we have Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen. I love it...a diverse crew making their way back to the moon for the first time since 1972! Can you believe it!?!? I really am excited about it. Now they won't land on the moon, they'll basically be trying everything out in the ship, the Artemis II, making sure it all works properly. That way, a crew can go and land on the moon and spend some time. That will happen in 2025 if all goes well. I know we've seen billionaires with their rockets lately, but for me, there's nothing like NASA sending a crew into space to research and find out information that can help us on earth.
