Have you heard about No Mow May? This is really the first year I've heard about it, but I've been reading about it a lot. If you don't know what it is, it's pretty simple. No Mow May is an environmental campaign that encourages us to refrain from mowing our lawns during the month of May. The aim is to provide a habitat for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and other insects. They love the dandelions and other wild flowers that grow on our lawns when we don't mow. Now you know how much I love mowing my lawn. Plus I feel like we've all pretty much participated in No Mow for two weeks now because of the rain. I do want to do what I can for the pollinators...we need them! But I also think my neighbors might call the town on me if I let my grass get any longer than it already is. What do you think? Could you participate? Would you? I know I won't be mowing until the weekend. Does that count? What do you think? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
