Well this is sad news. A restaurant that's been around forever in the Capital Region is closed for good. The Denny's on Wolf Road in Colonie has permanently closed. I can remember heading to that Denny's back in the day when I was a dancing fool. We'd head there for a late night/early morning meal after having some fun at the dance clubs. And of course, we would always go there for our free birthday meal. While I haven't been to that Denny's in a few years, I'm sad that it will be gone for good. I have fond memories there of my younger days, of taking my nieces and nephews there for a meal and more. So while we say goodbye to Denny's on Wolf Road, know that you can still get your fix of Moons Over MyHammy at the Denny's in East Greenbush, where some of the Colonie employees will be transferred.
