Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Janet and it's about going out to eat with friends. Here's her email: Hi Jaime. I was out to eat with friends the other night and we were having a great time. When the waitress came to serve the food, she served everyone except me. She made it clear she would be right back with my food. I was shocked when everyone started eating right away before I got my food. Not one of my friends even said, should we wait? I mocked them for it and said I couldn't believe that they wouldn't wait. They said it was ridiculous and I was being sensitive for no reason and that my food would be there soon so what was the big deal. I was raised that you wait to eat until everyone has been served. Was I being too sensitive? I don't think so. What do you think? Thanks ~ Janet I was raised that way too, but it wouldn't bother me if people started eating before I was served. If the restaurant is doing it right, everyone should be served at the same time. But even if we weren't I would definitely tell whoever got their meal to start eating. Don't want their food getting cold because I don't have mine. That's just me. What do you think? Let's help Janet out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
