Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Alex and it's about journals. Here's his email: Hi Jaime, I'm in a tough spot. Last week, while cleaning up the house and our bedroom, I stumbled upon my wife's journal. Out of curiosity, I read a few pages and found out some personal thoughts and feelings she never shared with me. I know I was wrong for invading her privacy, but now I'm also hurt by some of the things I read. Should I tell her that I read some of the journal, or just keep it to myself and try to forget what I know. I really need some good advice. Thanks ~ Alex. This is why you NEVER read someone else's journal or diary, or phone texts. Sometimes, we need to keep things to ourselves, sometimes we write things in a moment of sadness or anger that doesn't need to be shared with our spouses or partners. That being said, I think Alex should tell his wife and deal with the repercussions. Otherwise, there will always be that secret between them, and that never turns out well. That's my take anyway. What do you think? Let's help Alex out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
