Social Dilemma: Should I Buy My Wife Clothes For Christmas?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Paul and it's about Christmas gifts for your spouse. Here's his email: Hi Jaime, It’s that time of year when I pull teeth trying to get a viable Christmas list from my wife so I don’t have to be subjected to the annual “If you really loved me, then you’d know what to get me” conversation. This year, however, I feel like a trap is being set. She thinks gift cards are too “impersonal” and show little thought. She’s now telling me wants “clothes.” Nothing specific, mind you…just “clothes.” That puts me in the position of getting the wrong thing, the wrong style, and…worst of all…the wrong size…which will be a whole other nightmare. What do I do? Help! Thanks ~ Paul This is crazy. But okay, if Paul's wife wants to play it that way, I think Paul should get clothes that are definitely a size too small and just stick with that. He will win for thinking she's thinner than she is,and she can't get mad. Then she can return it all and get what she wants.
