Social Dilemma: Is a Gym Membership An Acceptable Gift for Your Spouse?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Aaron. It's an interesting one I think about Christmas gifts: Hi Jaime, I really need your help, because I'm having a major Christmas gift dilemma. For the past two months, my wife has been talking about joining a gym and getting back into working out. She had joined a gym pre-Covid and really enjoyed it, but hasn't gotten back into it since then. I love my wife just the way she is, but she's the one who keeps talking about going back to the gym. Would it be okay to give her a gym membership for Christmas? I have some other gifts for her too, including a really nice necklace, but I want to make sure I get her something she really wants, and she talks about really wanting to go back to the gym. What do you think? Thanks so much ~ Aaron. Hmmm, I say leave it alone. LOL. If Aaron's wife really wants the gym membership, she'll get it herself. Or next time she talks about it, offer to buy it for her then and there, but I would not under any circumstances, buy it as a gift for her. That's my take anyway. What do you think?
