Social Dilemma: Can I Serve Leftovers to My Friends for Dinner?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Tanya and it's about friends and leftovers. Here's her email: Hi Jaime. I need some advice. I had a big party on New Year's Eve with great food that was catered by a Chef friend of mine. We have a lot of food left over, so I want to invite some friends over for a dinner party and serve those leftovers. My best friend told me that was very tacky and I shouldn't even think about doing it, but I know the food is good, and I don't want it to go to waste. My friend said at the very least I should tell everyone that leftovers will be served so they can decide if they want to come or not. I say, why can't I wait to tell them after dinner or why tell them at all. I know the food is good. What do you think? Is it okay to invite them over for a dinner made from leftovers, or is that tacky? Thanks ~ Tanya. I think it's absolutely fine. It sounds like the food was made my someone who really knows how to cook. Why not put it to good use. I love leftovers, and I'm talking just my own run of the mill leftovers. I'm sure leftovers made by a Chef who knows what he/she is doing would be amazing. So my take..do it. What do you think? Let's help Tanya out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
