Social Dilemma: Should I Rent Out My Shed to My Neighbor?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma is a bit of a strange one. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think. Here's the email: Hi Jaime. I’ve just been hit with an odd request. A neighbor from up the street is on the outs with his wife and says he’s looking for a place to crash for “a month or so.” Rather than go to a friend’s or family member’s house, he wants to crash in the shed behind my house. He says it’s plenty big and he’s not worried about the cold because he’s an “outdoorsman.” He’s even willing to pay me a “rental fee.” The Shed does have a bathroom because it doubles as a pool house, but there's no shower and while it's insulated, it's not heated. On the surface, it sounds like easy money, but something doesn’t smell right. What are the liabilities and risks of doing this? I told him to give me a couple of days to think about it. What do you think? Should I do it? What would you do? Thanks ~ Joey. Well, this is crazy strange to me. And my answer would be an absolute no. I understand if he's trying to save money, but stay with a family member or a friend. This seems too bizarre. What do you think? Would you do this?
