Social Dilemma: Is It Wrong to Keep A Large Amount of Found Money?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Nathan, and it's about more of a moral dilemma. Here's his email: Hi Jaime. I take the bus to work every day. Yesterday, I found an envelope by my bus stop with $900 in it and no identifying information on or in it. I'm having a bit of a hard time financially, and this money could really help me. I know keeping it might not be entirely ethical, but the temptation is strong. Since it's a bus stop though, the only place I could take the money would be the police station. Would you do that? Would they give it back to me if no one claimed it? What should I do in this situation? Thanks for the help. ~ Nathan. This is tough. If you find $20 and no one is around, you would tend to keep it, but $900 is a big chunk of money. I think I would take it to the police station. If it was meant to come back to me it would, I think. What would you do? Let's help Nathan out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
