Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Lisa and it's about helping a friend. Here's her email: Hi Jaime, I want to get your opinion on something. My friend Cindy is mad at me and doesn’t understand why I'm mad at her after she begged me to get her a receptionist job in my office and then basically only showed up when she wanted to. She made me look like an idiot and my boss complained to me about her every time she called in sick or showed up an hour late. When I asked her what was going on with her not showing up or showing up late she just played it off with a lame excuse and acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Cindy is a very fun person and I always had a good time with her but she’s incredibly irresponsible and I told her so. Unfortunately, she got written up by the boss, and now she's blaming me and told me to either stand up for her or don't call her a friend. Now she’s telling our other friends I'm the one getting her in trouble at work, and that I’m not a good friend. Am I the bad friend in this situation or is she? Shouldn't I be the one mad at her and not the other way around? What do you think? Thanks ~ Lisa. Wow, sounds like Cindy is not one to take responsibility for her actions.
