Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Matt and it's about funerals. Here's his email: Hi Jaime.I'm in trouble here. This is causing me uber-stress. My boss’ wife just died after a lengthy battle with cancer. I like him, liked her – but here’s the problem: I have a severe funeral phobia, as in – I get physically ill and have major panic attacks. It stems (I think) from having to go to my own mother’s funeral when I was 7. Now, I avoid funerals, make excuses, but this one’s going to be really tough to get out of. EVERYONE at work is going and I am freaking out. What do I do? Hope you have some good advice. Thanks ~ Matt. Wow, this is tough. I mean no one likes to go to funerals, for obvious reasons, but Matt has a very real issue. Perhaps he could talk to his doctor about some medication for this situation.
