Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Sammie and it's about thank you notes. Here's the email: Hi Jaime We just received a thank you card from a recent wedding we went to, and the thank you message was typed out with a generic "thank you for your generosity and coming to our wedding... Yada yada yada" Love, *The newlyweds* It was clearly a form letter of thank yous. I wish I could say this was the first time this has happened, but it isn't. So is this the new normal??? Call me traditional, but doesn't it seem impersonal or ungrateful? Or is this just what people do now? I'm offended by it. We took the time to go to the wedding and buy a thoughtful gift, and this is the thank you???? Thanks Love your show Jaime ~ Sammie. I too have gotten a thank you card or two like this. I don't know if it's the new normal, but it seems like it's definitely an option now. I guess it's better than no thank you at all. While I would prefer a personal thank you card, I wouldn't be offended. But that's me, what do you think? Let's help Sammie out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
