Social Dilemma: How Do I Get My Husband Out of the Kitchen?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Cecilia, and it's about cooking..alone. Here's her email: Hi Jaime I need some help!  I typically do all of the cooking and cleaning at home while my husband handles much of the stuff outside of the house, but I was recently sick and he took over the cooking duties for me. He did a fine job, but now that I’m better and we’ve gone back to our usual chore split, he’s been trying to “help” me in the kitchen. I appreciate that he wants to help, but he’s very methodical and exact. I actually love that about him normally, but in the kitchen, I have a natural feel for things, don’t use recipes, and his help is driving me mad. How do I tell him to get out of the kitchen without seeming ungrateful? He needs to go back to what he does so I can continue to do what I do. HELP! Thanks so much ~ Cecilia. I remember this happening with my parents when I was younger. My mom got ill and my dad started helping in the kitchen. A week later when my mom was better, he drove her CRAZY. She eventually just straight up kicked him out. He laughed about it and all was fine. I think being honest is the way to go. I say thank him for the help but tell him, the kitchen is your job and whatever he does is his. That's my take anyway. What do you think?
