Social Dilemma: Should I Invite My Neighbors to My Memorial Day BBQ?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma is about neighbors and parties. Here's the email: Hi Jaime. I'm having a party issue and my wife and I disagree on how to handle it. Hoping you can help. So my wife and I are arguing over whether or not we should invite two sets of neighbors that we never talk to or actually like to our Memorial Day bash. She says we should and I say no way. She thinks we have to invite them so they don’t get mad if we have loud music after a 10pm but I’m pretty sure they are going to be mad either way. My wife says it’s good etiquette to invite all your neighbors with in earshot to your outdoor party and I’ve never heard of that. So tell me should I invite the neighbors I don’t like to my Memorial Day Barbeque so they don’t complain about the noise or don’t invite them because they will probably turn down the invitation and complain about the noise anyway? Thanks ~ Ronny I always invite my neighbors to a party I throw. That being said, I like my neighbors so it's not a big deal. But I do think it is the etiquette if you're having a big bash to invite the neighbors. It's different if it's a graduation party or something like that, but a good old fashioned party. Sure invite the neighbors. That's my take anyway. What do you think? Let's help Ronny out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
