S Dilemma: Should I Have Helped My Neighbor's Kid Change A Tire in the Rain

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Hank and he's looking for our take on something he did. Here's his email: Hi Jaime. Let me start by saying I'm generally a nice guy, but right now, my wife thinks that I’m a jerk for not stopping in the rain to help my neighbor's 17 year old son change his tire in the pouring rain. Let me explain why first. So my neighbor has a 17-year-old son who I cant stand. He and his friends party all night and keep my wife and daughter up. They get drunk and hangout on my front lawn and from time to time and his friend’s even ring my doorbell in the middle of the night. My ring camera picks it up and when I show my neighbor he says he’ll talk to his son but nothing changes. So when I saw him struggling in the rain a few miles from our house changing a tire I didn’t feel like stopping to help. I felt like it was karma for all the inconsiderate things he does on a weekly basis. My wife told me I’m being mean and unkind and two wrongs don't make a right. What do you think? Was I unkind or was it just payback? Thanks ~ Hank I understand how Hank feels, but that being said, I'm with his wife. Two wrongs don't make a right, and it also would have been the perfect time to bring it up with the kid. You know, something like "I know what you and your friends do, and its been incredibly inconsiderate to me and my family. But I'm, here to help you hoping you'll understand that being kind is better than being inconsiderate. So like I said,I'm with Hank's wife. What do you think? Let's help him out on the TRY Facebook page.
