Social Dilemma: I Think My Daughters Are Lying About Drinking. What Do I Do

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Cory and it's about his daughters and alcohol. Here's the email: Hi Jaime. I have a mystery. I have 2 teenage daughters. 15 & 17. There was a "Clubtail" canned cocktail leftover from the weekend. I wouldn't have noticed but I took a water bottle to bed last night and saw it still in the fridge. Cut to this afternoon when I got home from work. II went into the fridge and grabbed a water bottle & noticed the Clubtail was gone. My wife stays up later than me, and she said she didn't drink it. That leaves 2 suspects. The teenagers. Now both girls are usually as tame as can be. One made straight A's & the other was just one B off. Both are in Marching Band and neither have a habit of lying to us or getting in trouble at all. Neither had friends over. So, I looked for the can. I went in their rooms, in the outside trash, anywhere I thought they might stash evidence & give themselves away. Nothing. The can was in the kitchen trash...buried deep in the bottom(under last night's dinner). I called both girls together. Magically, it drank itself. The both denied to high heaven. I do not like to punish the innocent. What should I do? What would you do? Thanks for the help ~ Cory. Well, this is a mystery. I do believe that every now and then kids need to rebel. I would tell them I'm not upset about them trying the booze, but upset about the lie and see where it goes from there. That would be my advice. What would you do?
