Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Jeff and it's about kid stuff. Here's his email: Hi Jaime. My wife and I are in an ongoing argument about when it’s appropriate to get rid of stuff that belongs to our children. We both used to love to display their art, schoolwork, and awards. However, all of our kids are now either out of the house or in college. And yet we still have drawings from kindergarten and first grade and all the years after in our home. It's clutter. Some pictures even still hang on the fridge. I want to throw them all out, or keep one or two pics and get rid of the rest. My wife, however, feels it's important to keep everything and that when we're in our 80's we'll want to look back. I told her if that's all we have to do in our 80's, it won't be much fun. Who do you think is right? Help! ~ Jeff. Well, I'm with Jeff on this, though when I was younger, I probably would have agreed with his wife. I feel like as we get older, it's better to purge things. It's nice to have a picture or two from when the kids were small, but to have stacks and stacks of them feels like hoarding to me. What do you think? Let's help Jeff out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
