Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Jenny and it's about a work situation. Here's her email: Hi Jaime. I think I put myself in a work jam. After being with my company for a little over five years, I was promoted to lead my department. I accepted the offer, but after talking to the previous department head, I’ve decided I don’t want the job. Do you think it’s too late for me to say no and go back to my old position? If I really don’t want the promotion, is my only option to find a new job altogether? Hope you can help. Thanks so much ~ Jenny. This is another tough one. Can you go back on a promotion and just go back to your old position? I'm not sure. I guess it might depend on if your old position has been offered to someone else already. I think it also depends on how you word it to the boss. Perhaps saying you don't feel like you would be able to do the job justice. Let's help Jenny out and let me know what you think on the TRY Facebook page.
