Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Bill and it's about clothes. Here's his email: Hi Jaime. I’ve been working from home for a few years now and since I never go into an office or ever meet clients face-to-face, I don’t ever get dressed up. Over the years, when I’ve needed to get new clothes, I’ve opted for athleisure wear, so that’s mostly what my wardrobe is made up of these days. My wife and I recently went out to dinner with the in-laws and my MIL spent about half the meal talking about how I don’t get dressed up like I used to when I went to an office every day. I prefer my life now and don’t see the need to get dressed up when we’re going to a neighborhood restaurant. I still have fancier clothes, but only wear them when it’s necessary. Is my mostly athleisure wear wardrobe not appropriate for going out with family and friends? Should I be getting dressed up for a casual dinner? Is my mother in law right or am I? Thanks for the help? ~ Bill This is interesting. I'm not sure why anyone else cares what someone is wearing, unless of course they're going out in dirty or ripped clothes. It sounds like Bill is wearing comfortable clean clothes to a casual restaurant. Seems fine to me. What do you think? Should Bill still get dressed up or is his athleisure wear just fine? Let's help him out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
