Social Dilemma: Would You Report a CoWorker For Falsifying Documents?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from David, and it's about a work situation. Here's his email: Hi Jaime. I really need some help with this.  I recently found out that my coworker has been falsifying data on our reports to make our team look better. I hate to get her in trouble, but now that I know I feel like I have to do something. Reporting her might get her fired and ultimately will reflect poorly on our team. What should I do? Do I turn her in, knowing that it could also mean making the office look bad? What would you do? Thanks so much. ~ David. Moral dilemmas are tough. I think my first action would be to talk to the woman who is falsifying the reports and go from there. Maybe she could say something herself to the boss. This is difficult because what ever happens, either the woman and the office is going to look bad or David is going to have to hold on to information he knows is a lie. What would you do?
