Buddy Valastro, the legendary chef known as "Cake Boss" is facing an uphill battle after his hand was mauled in a crazy, freak bowling accident.
Turns out the accident happened while he was spending "quality time" with his family at home, which is equipped with a bowling alley.
"There was a malfunction with the bowling pinsetter, a common fix in the past, but it turned into a terrible accident," his representatives said.
His hand ended up getting impaled by a metal rod and his two sons had to use a reciprocating saw to cut him loose.
He's already had two surgeries and is facing an uphill battle according to his reps.
He is recovering at home after being released from the hospital on Wednesday.
