When Cynthia Begg got behind the wheel Wednesday, she was so drunk she blew a .31 BAC, Bethlehem police said. How did they find out? She told them.
Police say Begg started to drive away from her home yesterday afternoon around 3:50 p.m. but stopped a short distance away and called the cops, telling them that she realized she was too drunk to drive.
Begg, 51, of Delmar is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a BAC over .08%, and Driving with a BAC over .18%, all misdemeanors, police said. She is due in Bethlehem Town Court on April 15. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
Police say Begg started to drive to a nearby residence in Delmar and was located by police near Kenwood Ave and Delaware Ave.
