A Latham man is charged with DWI after a three-car accident caused long delays in Pittstown Friday evening, according to the NY State Police.

George L. Bush crossed the double-yellow line with his Dodge Durango around 5 p.m. Friday evening as he was headed east on Route 7 in Rensselaer County, police said. Investigators determined that the SUV side-swiped a utility van headed west and the van rolled over onto its roof. The Durango then hit a Pontiac Aztec that was headed west, police said.

The accident closed Route 7 for about an hour and a half. Police say Bush already had a suspended license due to a prior DWI conviction. Bush was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, both Felonies, police said in a statement.
