Festival Weekend offers residents and visitors an opportunity to experience some of Schenectady County’s most popular annual events — with much of the action concentrated on Saturday, September 12. Festivals will take place throughout the city and county, offering food, live entertainment, art, cultural celebrations and family-friendly activities.
“Festival Weekend really showcases the variety of things that make Schenectady County such a fun place to visit, especially in the fall,” said Elissa Fornasiero, interim president of Discover Schenectady. “You can enjoy Greek and Italian food, experience Caribbean culture, discover incredible local art, celebrate Oktoberfest and so much more, all in one weekend. We encourage everyone to make a day, or even the whole weekend, of it and experience as much as they can.”

The Liberty Foundation’s annual fundraiser returns from noon to 5 p.m. with food trucks, specialty food vendors, craft beverages and family-friendly entertainment. Proceeds benefit programs and services for people with disabilities supported by Liberty ARC.

The nighttime attraction features illuminated displays inspired by culture, folklore and nature, along with entertainment, food and activities for all ages. Autumn Glow continues Thursdays through Sundays through Nov. 1.
